2026 the Year of the Fire Horse!

REFLECTIONS ON WHY THIS CHINESE NEW YEAR…BEGINNING ON FEB 17… IS GETTING SO MUCH AIRTIME?

·         The Year of the Fire Horse (only once every 60 years) is greatly respected and somewhat feared in Asian culture because of the radical change it brings and the unpredictability it portends.

·         So, what’s all this fuss about? Let’s take a look!

FEATURES OF THE ELEMENT OF FIRE

·         Fire is Purifying, Warming and Activating… Alternatively… its negative aspects include Burning Up too hot and too fast

·         Fire… symbolized by the Suit of Wands in the Tarot… represents Creativity, Motivation, Passion, Spirit and Integrity… while its Negative aspects include Restlessness, Burnout and Struggle.

FEATURES OF THE TOTEM ANIMAL OF HORSE

·         Horses symbolize Freedom, Wild Instinctual Nature and Power (Horsepower)

·         Horses are also herd animals that operate with a “collective consciousness”

·         Traditionally Chinese practiced birth control leading up to the “Fire Horse Year” to prevent the birth of “unwanted daughters” as women born during the year of the fire horse were considered “untamable” and therefore “unmarriageable”

·         Even as recent as the last Fire Horse Year in 1966 … dramatic illustrations of cultural impact occurred in both Japan and regions of China and Korea where the birth rate noticeably dropped as families attempted to avoid daughters being born! (schools and hospitals even prepared for smaller classes and fewer births)

Each Fire Horse Year, the “Wild Feminine” rises to be taken more seriously… anything done strictly for profit or gain is undone… and security-based rationale flies out the window as humanity in general gets ready to throw “Caution to the Wind”
