Blog Series Pt 2 - Mission Accomplished

Have you ever wondered how to turn your Visions and Goals into Action?

It's hard to "Accomplish a Mission" when you don't know exactly what it is...

Question is... How do you go from vague ideas and lofty ideals to a solid Mission with clear directives?

Drawing on several sources and my own personal experience... I'm delighted to share with you a process for designing specific "Missions" with corresponding "Statements of Intent"

If you haven't already done so please review and follow the steps in our earlier Blog -

Vision Quest Series Pt 1...

Then... from your Vision Quest Journal pick one goal / commitment that you’re ready to act on.

This becomes your 1st Mission and here are the steps to really “innerstand” and capture it as a “Statement of Purposeful Intent”

For me the goal/commitment I’m ready to act on is expanding my

"Global Sacred Site Tours"

I've decided to apply the following process to my Vision

and see what happens!

(my results are shared below)

Are you ready???

If so... Please follow the prompts below

to actualize your "Mission Statement"

(I know it's a lot but this process really works!!!)

1. Why do you want to do what you want to do? (Write non stop for 10 to 20mins)

   
   

2. What problems are you passionate about that your vision addresses or solves?

   
   

3. Now make a list of all the solutions your vision provides for these problems

   
   

4. From your list of problems and solutions pick the top 3 or 4 that you’re most passionate about

   
   

5. Next write a paragraph describing your personal experience and perspective on each one

Finally, take all that material read and reread it... gradually drafting a Mission Statement that summarizes what you’ve discovered is resting at the heart of your Mission.

(this is the only part you may ask AI to help with)

Ideally mission statements briefly and succintly describe specific problems your mission addresses with corresponding solutions that are particularly relevant to you and your personal life experience.

After following this process to the letter I’m ready to share with you the resulting first draft of our “Mission Statement” generated to expand our Global Sacred Site Tours… here it goes:

At Eye of the World Sacred Site Tours our Mission is to:

Connect globally with Local landscapes, Elemental Spirits, Sacred Sites, Natural Cultures, Artifacts and Original Practices as we apply Power Neutral Intuitive Observation and witness firsthand the expansive healing perspective of our Divine Human Story.

 

Defying Global Lockdowns and Divisive Isolationist tactics "We explore person-to-person human connection interfacing, cross pollinating and co creating parallel trade networks along with collaborative problem-solving alliances… deconstructing the polarization and alienation of the “other” and sharing our "Mutual Aid" as “radical real-world relationship building” naturally emerges."

 

Most of us are women over 50 and “hey presto” … without further ado the “Global Matriarchal Counsel arrives!!!” … evolving spontaneously and organically while disguised simply as average “Middle Aged Women” gathering to indulge in self care and personal development.

Upon completing the above exercise I was super pleased with this result!

I now feel clear about why and how Eye of the World Sacred Site Tours will evolve and I can design and plan these trips from this statement of intent...

Also, I can clearly see what sets our tours apart from the rest... naturally attracting participants and co facilitators that align with our mission.
