Finding Balance in a Polarized World

I’ve always been somewhat of a self proclaimed "Nonconforming Extremist"…

a black sheep in the sea of white

And I’ve clung to my personal “convictions” with a sense of "righteous propriety".

This tendency has led me to experience Polarized Extremes…

Exploring and Exposing Radical Truths... (Yup I'm a long time Truther)

Consequently I've developed some "personal bias"

despite my best efforts to "stay neutral" and to operate from "a place of compassion"

Although life has never felt boring it has been challenging to find balance and inner peace... Especially in our power dominant society that's so fixed on good/bad, right and wrong…

within a system that's constantly pitting us against one another.

In these polarized times here on planet earth we all struggle with paradoxical realities.

It appears that our World "based in Duality" is "eternally in Conflict"

A wise teacher once said:

“Sanity” is... “the ability to hold Two Opposing viewpoints or realities in Neutral Observation…without one side dominating or canceling the other”

In other words the ability to stay calm and remain neutral.... even in the face of extreme polarization.... crisis, conflict and contrast....

But how do we do this?

How do we remain calm and keep a power neural perspective while still holding our "truths" "convictions" and "personal values" with "integrity"?

An analogy that has helped me with this is the image of a Figure 8 “symbol of infinity”.

If we trace the path to the outer edges of the circles.. the distance from one side to the other seems vast and polarized.

However the path on both sides always leads back to the center or the “heart” where information about the outer edges can be exchanged and metabolized...

and somehow the whole system revitalized and balanced as a result.

The Center is only as vital as the Poles it Balances

In other words, the more we can adopt a belief Beyond Duality....

And understand that all realities.... no matter how extremely opposite.. have a place

and a purpose in our evolutionary journey....

the more Whole, Vital and Alive we become.

Either/Or thinking is the function of our

"Simple" "Logical Left Brain"

As Babies we only see in Black and White for the first few month of life... before our eyes develop to distinguish the complexity of a full spectrum of color...

Similarly our rudimentary rational intelligence has a hard time navigating beyond "the safe parameters of good and bad, right and wrong, black and white"

It takes a lot of personal growth, maturity and inner work to "reserve judgement" and observe reality in a more neutral "non polarized" way

This peaceful calm and steady "power neutral" way acknowledges there is always more happening than what meets the eye.... and it's near impossible from our small human perspective to see the whole big picture.

Like the High Priestess card of the Tarot we develop our Intuition connected to the deepest wisdom of our higher selves by staying perfectly balanced between the polarized "Gates or Pillars" of darkness and light.

The "Black and White" gateway that the

"High Priestess" guards... is a polarized

"Doorway" of "Duality"

The letters "B" and "J" on the Black and White gates of the High Priestess card stand for Boaz and Jakin... the two main pillars in the temple of Jerusalem which correspond with feminine and masculine energies, yin and yang... passivity and action... and chaos and order.

In Conclusion:

We don't need to compromise our personal beliefs or values in order to observe with neutrality.... We may have the "right" ideas but the "wrong" way of actualizing them...

So let's resist the knee jerk reaction to respond with attack blame and judgement....

And instead, tap into our higher wisdom and intuition where we are able to access a wider lens.... and seeing the big picture... allow our creative Imagination to design the most ideal high frequency solutions possible and the best pathways to navigate through all the chaos!

At "Eye of the World" it is our mission to assist humanity in reclaiming the honor and dignity of its natural origins... finding our way home to a balanced & healthy body, mind and spirit.
